Overview
An Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. D’costa completed his MBBS from the University of Pune in 1995, DNB – General Medicine from the National Board Of Examination in 2000, and Certificate in Critical Care Medicine from the Indian Society of Critical Care University in 2002. He was the ex-secretary of the Pune branch of I.S.C.C.M. recognized teacher for all Critical Care courses in India. Working with Critical Care Ultrasound since around 2008-2009, through his courses in Critical Care Ultrasound, he has trained more than 2000 personnel to date. He has multiple chapters in books on critical care applications of P.O.C.U.S., and one of the latest chapters is about undifferentiated fever and P.O.C.U.S. He is the lead author of the “Critical Care Ultrasound and Applications” book published in 2021. Have represented the country many times in WINFOCUS meetings in China, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka. He is a core faculty for the F.C.C.U. (Fellowship in Critical Care Ultrasound) course conducted by I.S.C.C.M. (Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine).
